One of the slogans on Adyen's website is, 'Make an impact from day one.' On their careers page, they claim you will 'find the space and support you need to let your ideas fly.' Sounds great, doesn't it? Now, it's time to show the interviewer you possess the creative chops to make that happen. Talk to the interviewer about a time when you have created a new product or service. Describe the product or service, how you came up with the idea to make it, and how it was received in the workplace. You can also describe any challenges you experienced during the process and how you overcame them. That will show the interviewer that you also have resiliency and problem-solving skills in addition to having creative thinking skills.

"In my previous role, I was fortunate enough to introduce my company to the idea of a gold-level service where we added on service options in addition to our general customer service. I had the idea to improve our customer service to a higher-end level after noticing that many clientele appeared financially well off. Our customer base responded positively, and we kept the program running since the results were so fantastic."

"In my current position, I create new products and services as a software designer nearly every week. The most recent product I created was an application where customers could find the closest financial services branch based on location services technology. Our customers received it well, and we are continuing to expand on the product now."

I am currently working on using my code from my master thesis as a basis for a tool to work with clinical data to find subtypes of a disease. I would like for others to be able to continue my work and expand on it. I also am very proud of the profiling tool I co-created; it was a great success and before the official launch, it was already used by some of the team members.

Rachelle's Feedback
You should be very proud of your work! If you can bring a visual aid with you to your interview, this may be something to consider - if you'd like to showcase your work even further! (If your meeting is virtual, perhaps a screen share or even sending the interviewer a short Keynote/PowerPoint after the interview).

At my current job, I created a new app that enables students to fund their studies "” via self-funding, third-party funding (e.g., employer, student loans).
The app also includes back-end processes. The ones that I worked on include:
- a process for staffers to review third-party funding
- integrations to external student loan companies
The app has been delivered to one customer already, with more rollouts to come in the future.

Rachelle's Feedback
Great start! You sound highly capable. I recommend expanding on this response to describe the 'why' behind this project. What were you aiming to improve, or what was the initial pain point that caused you to realize that the system needed improvement?
