This question is aimed at assessing your fit for their culture. How you answer will help them determine if you are pursuing this position because you are looking for a meaningful and rewarding career, or if you are simply in it for the money and are salary springboarding, or are trying to find a placeholder job right now. Sedgwick views the opportunity of working with them as a chance "to do something meaningful, to make a positive impact on the world. We help people and make a meaningful difference in the moments when support is needed most. We view taking care of people as an incredible honor and responsibility, and it's something we don't take lightly. We look for colleagues who believe in the meaningful work we do every day and contribute by being a force for good. We look for colleagues who embrace our purpose, because it takes all of us working together as one to achieve it, with an unwavering commitment to taking care of people and doing the right thing for those we serve and for each other. If you are someone who cares, there truly is a place for you here."

Take time to fully prepare and get situated before you begin. HireVue advises that "since you can interview from anywhere, make sure it's somewhere you're comfortable." Have a glass of water ready next to you if you need it during the interview. Use the restroom if you need to. "Pick a spot free from distractions and noise. You will use a computer, tablet, or mobile device to answer questions created by the company for the position you are applying for." Make sure your webcam and microphone are working properly, and that the sound and lighting are suitable. Close any unnecessary browsers or applications that may notify you and distract you on your device. Enter the virtual interview room and "ensure you've got the strongest Wi-Fi signal possible. Virtual interviewing is similar to the video calls many of us have been using. Just be natural! Get comfortable and be confident in yourself."

The camera angle should be at eye level. Positioning it too low will make you come across as egotistical. Too high and you'll seem too submissive. Also, looking at yourself on the screen could be interpreted as looking down, which is a sign of a lack of confidence. So practice in front of your computer's camera, maintaining eye contact with the camera lens as if you're speaking face-to-face with a person.

"After working at my current position, I found that it was truly when I was making a difference in someone's life, impacting them in a positive way, that I truly enjoyed my life. But those events were few and in-between. I excelled in my job in every way, but craved more of the work I found most rewarding. So, not only am I driven and motivated by reaching my career goals by reaching each milestone in attainable timeframes, but I am also heavily motivated by genuinely helping people and making a positive impact on their lives when they need it most. I am a very nurturing, empathetic, and caring person, and working for a company like Sedgwick is more in line with my values, and would be meaningful work."
