Professional services firms like KPMG expect their team members to work hard and celebrate after completing the hard work. Setting goals for yourself and celebrating those achievements are essential factors to a healthy work balance. The ability to celebrate your accomplishments will show KPMG recruiters and decision-makers that you can take the time to acknowledge your success once you have achieved your goal.
Discuss your most outstanding personal achievement, being sure to give the interviewers a glimpse into what motivates you to succeed in your personal life and why.

"I am the first person in my family to pursue and get into university. After being accepted into Brigham Young University and earning multiple scholarships, my family threw a huge block party to celebrate my success. It felt amazing to pursue my post-secondary education knowing that my entire family and close network were there to support me. The fact that my education is a win for my family is a significant motivator, as well. I plan to be the best I can be in my education and career to make them proud and show my appreciation for their endless support."

Though I have achieved many things including getting through difficult exams with good results, I consider getting through my FRM Part I Examination last year as my most outstanding personal achievement. I am a mother of three sons. My elder son is 16 and the younger twins are aged 10. I was working full-time as Chief Manager of Risk Analytics at a Bank at that point. I managed to get through the exam whilst managing my family commitments as well as office work. The year before my country faced a crisis. I realized that my level of knowledge was not sufficient to face a crisis of such magnitude. So I decided to study for FRM. Also, I decided that I needed to take my sons out of the country. I needed a professional qualification that would be accepted anywhere in the world. I was determined to pass the exam no matter how difficult it was for me. I was so happy when I got through. I will be sitting for the Level II examination this year.
