KPMG believes that Inclusion & Diversity efforts strengthen the business, enrich the culture, and enables the firm to deepen its relationships with its clients, people, and communities. The firm states on its website 'Championing inclusion in the workforce is a commitment we don't take lightly. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where our people feel comfortable bringing their whole self to work each and every day and, most importantly, enter our offices knowing they belong here.'
KPMG has aligned its goals with an inclusive vision by identifying three fundamental areas where the firm and its people can make the most significant impact:
- Embedding an Inclusive Culture
- Creating a Mentally Healthy Workplace
- Being Leaders in Our Community

"I took the time to read through KPMG's Inclusion & Diversity statement and action plans. I was impressed that the firm is so clear on its mission to embed an inclusive culture and act as leaders in the community. I was especially impressed with KPMG's commitment to creating a mentally healthy workplace, a stance that is not always common in the management consulting space, particularly in a Big 4 environment. I embrace the differences in people, their experiences, and how they view the world in my personal and professional life. Should I be chosen for this internship, I will embody inclusion and diversity by genuinely embracing everyone in the organization and treating everyone with the utmost respect. I will show cultural understanding and help my co-workers to build their competency and understanding of others. I also plan to support KPMG's action plan by continually educating myself on emerging inclusion programs and practices."
