"I had a large project last month that was nearly complete when the client called to say that the dimensions provided were incorrect. Because of this, our team had to re-do the entire proposal. It took us an additional four days of work but, in the end, the client was delighted with our work, and it resulted in new opportunities with them."

"Last year I was nearing the end of a client project when we had an unexpected parts recall. It set us back a few weeks and was quite discouraging. I reminded my team that we could not control changes like this, and we agreed to do our best work with what we had."

I had a project where the purchasing Plant Engineer provided us with the wrong dimensions and factory blueprints for their facility. When discovered, the Plant Engineer was mortified and wanted to stop the whole sales process. Instead, I obtained the correct data and reworked the sales proposal within hours, which saved many on my team from getting frustrated and demoralized for losing a sale.

Wow! This is a great example to provide in response to this question. You clearly had to adapt to new information being introduced into a process that may have been discontinued altogether if it weren't for your proactive and quick actions. Good reply!

During the great supply chain shortages we experienced in 2021, it was pretty common to get an order for a product and find out we would not be able to have the container the product was to be placed in available. This required a lot of creative thinking and often we ended up sourcing a similar container that the customer could accept, or in one case the customer found extra containers in their warehouse they were able to allocate to that project and send to us to use in manufacturing.
