When the health and wellness of people are at stake, it is vital that all of the details are tended to. Assure the interviewer that you place value on the details. Give an example of a time when your manager or supervisor complimented your attention to detail.

"I would rate my attention to detail as an 8 out of 10. There is always room for improvement; however, my current supervisor often comments on how thorough my documentation is. I understand the importance of paying strong attention to detail."

"My attention to detail is a point that I have been working on a lot this past year. I am meticulous but, in the past, have pushed my documentation back a little bit. It's something I am conscious of and continually working on. I would currently rate myself as a 7.5 out of 10 and am aiming to be a 10/10!"

I would rate my attentiveness at an eight, out of ten. My previous manager would often recommend me for the more difficult projects because I have strong attention to detail. During many installations, we would have very specific and important milestones that needed to be completed first, especially when incorporating our customer's highly valuable data from their previous software into their new system. I am thorough, precise, and patient during these detailed transfers of data, which can be problematic if you're not meticulous.

Can you provide an example of one of those times when you were recommended for a more difficult project? What did it entail? Why did it require strong attention to detail? What was the end result? The more details you can provide, the more memorable and meaningful your answer will be to the interviewer.

I am extremely structured and love detail-oriented work. I know things have to be correct when we're working in an industry that is so highly regulated. I would say on a normal, caffeinated day my attentiveness is a 10/10, although on not as caffeinated days I'm about an 8. I still make errors like any other human, but I have enough experience to know what to do when an error is made (Assess the impact, notify anyone affected, and take steps to fix the error while making any system changes that might prevent that error from occurring in the future.
