"I have taken the time to read the entire Code of Conduct. I understand that prohibited actions include a variety of integrity-related acts of misconduct, false statements, disclosure of official information, misuse of government property, unethical use of alcohol, bias-motivated conduct, specific financial and political activities, and more. I feel that all of the points made in the Code of Conduct are critically important and very fair. It is of utmost importance that I earn the trust of this agency, my fellow agents, and the public. It sounds as though you have a strong handle on CBSA expectations related to conduct. Whenever possible, I recommend adding a qualifying statement at the end of your response. For instance, 'It is of utmost importance that I earn the trust of this agency, my fellow agents, and the public. For that reason, I will do everything to ensure that I act in integrity and abide by the CBSA ethos on and off duty.'

Any activity deemed a violation of the code of conduct such as misconduct, misuse of alcohol, political gain, the release of private information and other integrity-related acts. It will be my job to be honest, and abide by the code of conduct on and off duty.

Reading through the Code of Conduct, it is very clear that integrity and honesty are highly valued in all aspects of the CBSA. In my understanding, actions that include (but not limited to) are misuse of government issued ID & information, using such information and ID for personal gain, allowing our personal/financial affairs to cloud our judgement or conflict with our daily duties, and impairment of drug/alcohol. All of the points listed throughout the Code of Conduct as impermissible are fair and should be upheld in the highest regard, inside and outside of our duties. As what we do outside of our daily duties, will not only reflect on ourselves, but also on the agency as a whole as well.
