"I make sure to utilize my work hours very efficiently, so the only time that I take my work home is when there is an extremely stringent deadline. I would say that, overall, I take my work home maybe twice per month. It's all about being diligent with your time, but I do understand that I may be required to stay late from time to time."

Ever since being self-employed, I have practiced flexible hours. Sometimes there is urgent work to do, something vital that a client needs. So I work extra hours to deliver. But that experience has also taught me the need for balance to maintain my energy levels and engagement. I need to exercise a few times a week, have quality time with my family, and have downtime reading a novel.
