The interviewers want assurances you are well equipped to manage the more difficult sights and experiences you'll encounter in your medical career. You'll want to assure them that you have thought through your pursuits and are well suited to every aspect of the work involved. Share examples of where you maturely and objectively handle situations involving blood, bodily fluids, and the job's more messy and squeamish aspects. If there have been instances where you proved as a support for others who didn't handle such situations as well as you, share those! Doing so will exhibit your fortitude, team mentality, and leadership potential.

"I have never been a queasy individual, and I fully understand the types of cases that I will see in my career as a physician. Currently, I work part-time at our local drop-in shelter and have seen a wide range of situations involving blood and such. I don't think about the gore, but more about the fact that it's a human being who needs my help. I believe this mentality will get me through any gruesome or undesirable situation."
