This question explores your personal opinions, critical thinking skills, and your diplomacy when it comes to hot topics. But it also explores how informed your opinion atually is. Most medical institutions are run like a business, and have to make money to survive. Exploring the ways in which healthcare institutions generate revenue and how many health insurance providers frequently pay out claims to healthcare providers by undercutting their contractual agreements should give you additional insights the average student may not have explored. So, provide the nuanced answer this nuanced question deserves. Avoid any offensive answers, or uninformed divisive opinions, or unfounded political views. Provide a diplomatic answer that gives the nod to both sides without appearing wishy-washy. Informed, educated, and emotionally mature are the chords you want to strike.

"I believe that the basic concepts of socialized health care and privatized health care are good by nature and speak to a range of patients. Some of my peers have expressed their love for socialized health care because, although they pay a higher tax rate, they are not caught in an expensive whirlwind when they face illness. On the other hand, privatized health care can offer significantly shorter wait times, which is very important for those with a potentially critical or debilitating illness. I believe it is important to have options for both so that people can choose."
