This is a great opportunity to further pitch them on what makes you the perfect fit for their university, and vice versa. This is your chance to make yourself memorable, to humanize yourself, and to show them the overachiever you are. It's fine to share personal matters so long as they are relevant to your career goals, especially where they fuel your ambition. Share things you have done to help your fellow students along as well. This could include any tutoring, leading your teams in your group projects to success, anything that exhibits initiative and potential leadership. Convincing them that you are an overachiever can go a long way, but showing them that you could potentially increase their graduation rate by helping those around you succeed goes the extra mile.

"I am an avid marathon runner and have traveled to 10 countries in the last 3 years to compete in various races. I am a competitive individual and enjoy keeping fit. I believe my competitive nature will benefit me as a medical student and future physician. I will have a consistent drive to deliver my best work while showing an innate need to remain top-of-the-game as a provider."
