"I have taken the time to read the entire Standards Conduct. I understand that prohibited actions include a variety of integrity-related acts of misconduct, false statements, disclosure of official information, misuse of government property, unethical use of alcohol, bias-motivated conduct, specific financial and political activities, and more. I feel that all of the points made in the Standards of Conduct are critically important and very fair. It is of utmost importance that I earn the trust of this agency, my fellow agents, and the public. For that reason, I will do everything to ensure that I act in integrity and abide by the CBP ethos on and off duty."

I have read the standards of conduct and I understand that taking bribes, representing the agency in a bad light, and using the status of a CBPO for personal of financial gain to be actions which are impermissible.
I currently abide by a similar code of ethics in my job as a police officer and understand that a law enforcement officer must remain professional on and off duty. I further understand that a CBP officer is entrusted by a large amount of trust and must follow all rules set by the standards of conduct.

I have gone through the CBP standards of conduct and I understand that taking bribes, representing CBP for personal gain, and making false statements are impermissible. I currently work for a Sheriff's Office as a Correctional officer and it is very important to represent my job with dignity on and off duty because it represents public service. Following the CBP standards code of ethics will make me feel good about my position, will prevent the public negative thoughts about law enforcement, and will help gain the publics' trust.

Excellent! It is clear from your response that you have done your due diligence and know what the CBP deems impermissible, which the interviewer will appreciate. It's also great that you have connected your current job to the question and have indicated that you strive to be upstanding and honest in that position too. Nice!

Being a law enforcement officer comes with great power and responsibility. As a candidate for the CBP officer position, I have read and fully understand your agency's mission and am aware of what is expected. Sharing sensitive official information, using your power to get away with things, and using government property in a way that is unintended are just a few. Carrying myself with the same character off duty as I would on duty is a critical part of what it means to be in law enforcement as we are the standard and whom people look up to. Going back to question 1 integrity is everything and must be upheld at all times.
Marcie's Feedback
Nice! It appears that you've done your research (since you're familiar with the agency's mission), which the interviewer will appreciate. It's great that you mention several actions that you believe would be impermissible and that you reiterate the importance of integrity. Excellent job!
