About Office Assistant

Office assistants are largely responsible for ensuring that office operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is an administrative position. As part of their job, office assistants maintain supplies and equipment, receive and distribute communications and liaise with customers, keeping them informed about the status of their order.
While a smaller firm may employ a high school graduate to work as an office assistant, larger corporations will require a minimum bachelor's degree in business management, accounting or administration. Office assistants have excellent time-management, organizational, customer service and communication skills.
At your interview, the interviewer will want to know about your strengths and weaknesses and why you think you are the best candidate for this role. They will also want to know more about your experience and whether you are comfortable working in an office environment and liaising with customers.
