As a recruiter who has reviewed thousands of resumes over my career, gauging career progressions and what is par for the course is often very difficult as people progress. If asked this question during your interview with Northrop Grumman, your interviewer has likely put some thought into your specific path and wants to hear your honest opinion on your career progression.

Talk to the interviewer about your career progression and give your opinion on how it has progressed. Express that your path has put you in a place to succeed at Northrop Grumman. If you have any points in your career that you wish would have gone differently, you can discuss them as long as you have a good reason why it didn't go as planned. Don't hesitate to talk about what you would like to see for career advancement in the future.
