The most successful organizations are constantly growing and adapting to better serve their customers, and CVS Pharmacy is no exception. In addition to handling change, can you also recognize when change is required and be confident enough to present that to your organization? Talk to the interviewer about a time when you suggested a change in the workplace, what that change was, and how coworkers and management received it.

"Last year, when I was managing our weekend shift, I noticed a pretty solid opportunity for us to save on overtime hours. I created a presentation and gave it to my manager, who took it to upper management. The changes were implemented, and I was very proud of the suggestion that I made. In the first month the change was implemented, the company saved over 10,000 in overtime hours. My coworkers were happy about the change because they had felt overworked, and my managers were happy about the money that was saved and could be put towards other things."

"When I began my most recent job at a family-run shop, the owners operated based on trust and didn't have a loss prevention plan. I suggested installing several cameras inside the store to deter anyone from stealing. So far, we have seen a 56% decline in overall loss."

When I began my most recent job at an independent pharmacy, we did not have a time limit for a break so that someone took their break forever and affected others work flow and their breaks. So I suggest my manager to add an option in our app. Every time, someone wants to take his/her break, she/he needs to sign out and sign in again. That helps the manager know who hasn't had their break yet or who takes their break overtime limit.
Kristine's Feedback
Good start! You share a work problem and a specific suggestion you made to address it. When you are asked a question with "Tell me about a time..." this is a signal that it's a behavioral interview question. For every behavioral interview question, you should respond using the STAR method where s situation, t task, a action, and r result. You mostly followed this method, but you could elaborate more on the result or outcome. For example, did your supervisor act on your suggestion? Did people take shorter breaks as a result? I assisted with the wording of your response a bit to help with clarity.
When I began my most recent job at an independent pharmacy, we did not have a time limit for breaks. So, when someone took a long break, it affected everyone else's workload and when they could take a break. So I talked with my manager and suggested he/she add an option in our app so that every time someone wanted to take a break, he/she would be able to sign out and sign in again. This way, the manager knows who hasn't had a break yet or who had taken a long break.
