Throughout your interview, you want to come across as a top performer, professional, capable, and prepared. How well you perform in your interview will be an indicator of how well you'll perform on the job. So showcase that you can capably follow instructions by following the access instructions in your email invite. Ensure that you have allowed yourself enough time in advance to test your system and check that your connection, camera, and microphone are working correctly. Consider using headphones with a good microphone to avoid feedback and audio echoes. Do a test check of the software or platform being used to make sure you can get access. Make sure you've got somewhere where you can work, where you won't be distracted and you've got a good Wi-Fi signal. On their careers site, BP highly recommends you explore their values, behaviors, and leadership expectations. "It's a fantastic opportunity to get a real feel for our culture and who we are as a company." This will help you align your experiences and your strengths and explain how you can bring them over to BP. Their values and behaviors are "Safety, Excellence, One Team, Courage and Respect. These are the basis of our business culture and form the backbone of our Code of Conduct. We look for evidence of these behaviours in all our new hires and use this as an important part of the selection process. We want the disruptors. The innovators. The dreamers. Digital pioneers and creators. The ones who can make a difference. Who can help us transform people's lives for the better. We look for evidence of these behaviours in all our new hires and use this as an important part of the selection process. You'll feel valued, encouraged to be creative, to think differently and help solve complex challenges. We need new minds, creative thinkers, with a strong ambition to change the world. We are thought leaders."

Prepare for your interview with confidence in knowing that you have done your best to answer any question they may throw at you. Start by identifying and writing down all of your personal and professional strengths, and how you have applied them. Include every accomplishment, both minor and major, even if it wouldn't go on your resume or CV. Then, thoroughly research the role and their culture, values, beliefs, mission, and behaviors, and ask yourself how it aligns with yours. Draw parallels and distinctions between the two, and practice articulating them. This will help you deliver strong, confident, and well-prepared answers to each question, as they will be fresh in your mind.

"Well, I feel like one of my greatest strengths is that I am bold, and I pride myself on my strength of character. I stand up for what I believe in and can always be counted on to do the right thing. My integrity is another one of my strengths, as is my loyalty. Besides that, I would consider myself a person with vision. I like how BP describes it on its website. Dreamers. Call me a dreamer. I believe we can always do better. So just do better in everything you do. That's my code."
