I am sure there are plenty of more experienced candidates for this position, but I feel that I would be the best candidate for this position due to my history at the American Institute program. I was one of the top students in the program and strived to never miss a day at clinicals and was always happy to fill in if needed.

I would encourage you to approach this from a more confident tone. You could leave out the first sentence and focus on what skills, abilities, experience, and education you would bring to the team. In addition to what you've written, consider adding another element or two. Perhaps you've done a lot of research on the company culture, and you align in that area, or perhaps you know that they serve a certain clientele that you relate to well and easily build relationships with. Give a unique answer that will stand out from the crowd.
