"I started out in the reservations department answering calls. Then I worked up to the front desk, and housekeeping department and then to the director of sales. In truth, I have done a little bit of everything in the hotel business. I have always prided myself in wanting to learn new skills, and I believe that a good general manager of a hotel should know each department so that when needed they can jump in and help."
