BayCare's mission is to provide measurably superior specialty medical services to their patients and for this question, your interviewer will be looking to hear how you personally measure success in the work that you do. While quantitative measurements in a healthcare setting may be difficult to determine, talk about any things that you've been measured on in a previous job and how your performance measured up to standards. You can be creative in your answer as many organizations measure success in different ways.

"As a Nurse Practitioner, I am currently reviewed based on my productivity measurements and my patient satisfaction scores. I currently work on an RVU model that measures the profitability of the organization based on the services that I provide. My compensation is also tied to this RVU system. For some providers, I fear that measuring performance based on RVU's isn't always the best indicator that great results were achieved for patients. And while I always strive to leave each patient smiling at the end of my visit with them, we all know that patient satisfaction surveys aren't always the best test of performance based on the fact that patient surveys have low response rates. To me, the best measurements of my success are my clinical skills and the outcomes of my patients."
