"In my current job, over the past ten years we have seen a very high turnover with both provider staff and allied health staff. In analyzing data with our HR staff, it was very apparent that much of our turnover was with employees that had only been employed less than three years. Knowing this, I proposed a mentoring program for new staff that would mentor new colleagues with adapting to our organization culturally and also adapting to the community. With approval and having the mentoring program running for just over a year, we have received great feedback from both mentors and the new employees. Real results will hopefully show in the coming years as turnover numbers decrease as planned by the mentoring."
