Why the Interviewer Asks This Question
This question aims to help your interviewer assess how ambitious you are and whether you would be flexible and willing to relocate to varying locations to advance your career with them. Not everyone's priorities allow uprooting and relocating. To ensure your job satisfaction, be honest with yourself and your interviewer when answering such questions. If you are unsure, simply suggest that you would be open to exploring this further, depending on the circumstances or the offer.

What You Need to Know
Bain and Company are interested in candidates who are highly motivated to progress their careers with them. "Ambition to lead requires the courage to adapt." Your career progression may involve moving through some of the company's many offices in the Bain network. They also offer a section in the application process where you can indicate your office preferences, whether you opt for an international or local office. They also advertise that part of your career progression with them can involve "global transfers: Temporary and permanent relocation opportunities to work in other offices around the world."
