"I noticed in your job posting that you prefer to see experience in the public aerospace sector. I have experience in both public and private; however, the most recent three years of my work experience is in the public sector."
"I have equal experience in both public and private aerospace matters. Is there a specific sector you would prefer to see stronger experience? I would be happy to describe my experience in that sector."
Remember to read the job description thoroughly before your interview. If the job description or job posting from BAE Systems points out a preference for one over the other, focus your answer on that particular experience.
"I was an intern at XYZ aerospace company. They are a small private sector company. I look forward to the opportunity to leverage what I learned there at a company with global reach and a reputation for innovation and excellence such as BAE Systems."

I noticed in your job ad, that you were looking for a junior consultant - whilst I'm not a junior per se, from some perspective I may need your help and support to catch up with the rest of the team. To answer your question, however, I have no experience in the private, or public aerospace industry.
