The interviewer wants to be assured that you are a team player who will go the extra mile in emergencies. One of the duties of an electrical lineman is to work during storms to help restore power. Linemen may also be called in for work in emergencies other than storms, such as power outages caused by fallen trees or car accidents. They may also be needed to repair damaged power lines due to flooding, earthquakes, or other natural disasters. Additionally, linemen can be called in to perform routine maintenance on power lines to prevent future emergencies from occurring. Show the interviewer that you are up for the challenge and can make yourself available for overtime hours when needed.
