The Admissions Committee at the University of Missouri would like to know your stance on the controversial subject of animal testing and the use of animals for educational purposes. In many regions, animals are still a standard learning modality for medical students. Breakthroughs and cures are found regularly, often through animal testing and research procedures. However, with technology changing rapidly, incredible leaps are being made to replace the use of animals in medical research.
Provide a response that is honest and true to your feelings while showing your understanding of why the use of animals takes place in medical research. Learning and research tools are ever-changing, so mention the progress you have seen through simulations and more.
