"Yes, I imagine myself in another person's situation and I react in a way that is helpful and therapeutic way. For example, I had a patient who was a homeless meth user and had to haVe a BKA. He required someone listening to him, understanding his situation and being nonjudgmental."

      Stephanie's Feedback

That's wonderful that you identify as being a compassionate person. While the example you shared was compelling, I suggest using "person-first" language, such as "I had a patient experiencing homeless and struggling with meth addiction" rather than a "homeless meth user." It should always be the person first, and the challenge that they are experiencing. In the "Revised Answer" section, I have provided an example of how this response might be rewritten to improve impact.
"I do consider myself to be a compassionate person, and I really try to imagine myself in another person's situation, and I react in a way that is as helpful and therapeutic as possible. One example that comes to mind is when I was working with a patient who was experiencing homelessness and struggling with meth addiction. What he really needed was someone listening to him, understanding the complexities of his situation, and being nonjudgmental. I was able to provide just that--active listening, compassion, and space for him to express himself."
