From changes in laws, regulations, technology and innovation, workers who care for patients must be fluid and adaptable in their jobs and your interviewer will be looking to hear you are in the example hat you give. In your answer, talk about the fact that you look to learn about changes as they occur so you can understand why they are happening and how they effect patient care, safety and/or satisfaction. "Having been in clinical practice as a Registered Nurse for over ten years, I have always been very adaptable to rapid changes in my environments that I've worked in. Last year, staffing ratios on my unit drastically changed due to a new policy set forth by the organization. Liking to be a busy person and running all day long on my 12 hour shifts, I was a little taken aback when we were told two more nurses would be staffing each night shift. While I though my workload was just perfect at the time, I learned that changes in regulations prompted the organizational change and the new staffing model really gave our nursing group more individual time with patients. In the end, it was a win for all and I'm glad I was open to the change by really learning more about it."
