How to Answer
Walk your interviewer through your process for organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling your work. Describe any tools or technologies you lean on to support your time management skills. Finally, be sure to provide an answer that aligns with the type of role you're interviewing for. For example, individuals interviewing for senior-level positions may need to include descriptions of how they manage their workload over weeks or months. Candidates interviewing for more junior positions should describe their method for managing their daily responsibilities.

1st Answer Example
"I will determine which project requires my attention by the number of hours we are behind and then the project size. I am comfortable delegating tasks when needed, but I am also aware that these times will require an additional commitment of hours from me. Never have I under delivered on a deadline."

2nd Answer Example
"Time management has been something that I have worked on improving since my time in University. I set goals for myself and attached a time deadline for those goals. Also, I am diligent with the use of my calendar and have a great scheduling app on my phone that I refer to as well."

3rd Answer Example
"It is important for me to manage my time on several levels. I review my team's production schedule and roadmap every week to ensure that we understand our priorities. Likewise, I review everyone's calendars and discuss availability to ensure we have proper coverage. If there are gaps, I make sure to allocate time on my calendar to find replacements or fill the gap myself.
On a daily basis, I make a plan first thing in the morning of how to spend my day. I schedule time for large initiatives around meetings and leave time for impromptu discussions or emergency requests. I use tools embedded within my calendar as well as task lists to ensure everything is completed on time. I feel confident a similar approach would work well here at Raytheon."
