The interviewer wants to hear how you will respond when you disagree with how something is handled or executed. Emphasize your ability to 'go with the flow' and adapt when top-down changes occur. Give an example of a time you did just that.

"I would first talk with my manager to ensure I understood the expectation correctly. There could have been a miscommunication, or I could have misinterpreted my manager's expectations. If I still had an issue, I would take time to think about how to deal with it. I've learned to pick my battles and be adaptable as much as I can."
