I had a really positive and friendly relationship with my last boss. I cultivated this by communicating with them at all times in a friendly and positive manner, taking criticism on the chin, working to understand their specific way of doing things, electing to help with other tasks, and also executing all my tasks to the best of my ability. In the end, he trusted me enough to allow me to manage the bar and its stock independently and to cash up at the end of the shift. I am still invited to the Christmas parties although I no longer work there.
