      How to Answer

The interviewer would like to know if you are capable of taking on more work, outside your normal job responsibilities and can flex higher level skills. The project doesn't need to be huge in scope, but make sure to highlight what you did, as opposed to using the words WE.

      1st Answer Example

"I always have a list of projects to work on and I really enjoy them. I had the opportunity to lead a project designed at creating a peer feedback review process. My manager discovered errors in some of the work from our team. I had the idea to create a double-check where a peer reviewed the work. It did take more time, but was very help in reducing errors. We were able to reduce errors by 90%. My manager was really pleased and team was happy and proud of the work being done."

      2nd Answer Example

"Since I'm a new grad, I haven't led any projects at work yet, but when I was a college student, I completed a project for a local health care system where I did an audit of all of their credentialed providers. My goal was to see if there were any parts of the process I could automate so that the manual checks could be faster. I was able to set up a feed with the state licensing board which eliminated the need for somebody to manually check their license. It was a great project and I know I added value to them, even as a college student!"

"A project I lead from start to finish was while doing my full-time job- I took out the time to work operations at a vaccination hub. I was able to coordinate and schedule volunteers who would be coming in for that day. Get them signed up and assign roles for them as well. From the start to the end by recognizing the workflow we also improved on how staff could work at the hub and save time as well, increasing more patients coming in I received so many compliments on the flow and patients were so happy they were in and out and saved lots of time. And this was our main goal, working together, providing vaccines to the public, and saving time. After this- I would also go back to my office and continue my normal task duties."
