"Last year when I was managing our weekend shift, I noticed a pretty solid opportunity for us to save on overtime hours. I created a presentation and gave it to my manager who took it to upper management. The changes were implemented, and I was very proud of the suggestion that I made."

"The store where I currently work is a family run shop where they operated based on trust and didn't have a loss prevention plan. We were having some problems with theft because of it. I suggested that we install a couple of cameras inside the store to deter anyone from stealing. So far, we have seen a 56% decline in the overall loss."

When I was working at Aarons as the collection manager, I was in charge of setting the daily field visits for my team. So one day I was putting together a list of customers that I wanted them to visit but when I put them map quest it made them go all over the place. So what I did is break them down by East, West, North, and South so that they could each have a section to work on. Saved us time and lots of money. I brought this to my District Managers attention, and he said wow this is awesome. They implemented it one month later, and I got the recognition for it. It felt amazing to know that I could help the company save lots of money.

This is such a great answer. You couldn't have picked a better example!
I worked at Aaron's as the Collection Manager, and one of my tasks was to create daily field visits for my team. At the time, the protocol was to use MapQuest when creating customer lists. However, I noticed that when I did this, my employees were not taking routes that were the most efficient. I proceeded to divide the city up into zones (North, South, East, and West), in order to better disseminate my staff. This saved the company lots of time and money; so much so, that the company adopted my procedure, and I was praised for the positive changes.
