"I realize that the rail transport industry is high-stakes, so it's critical that I manage that stress like a pro. I tend to work best in stressful situations. For instance, the pressure of delivery deadlines drives me to work faster and smarter. I am resistant to stress because I choose to focus on the end goal rather than the small hiccups along the way."

"I do well under pressure or stress, but like most people, sometimes I need to take a minute to recalibrate under high-pressure situations that offer little relief. I know myself, and my stress triggers pretty well, so when I feel like there's too much on my plate, I will center myself, dig in and get through it, knowing I'll come out better on the other side."

I understand that any job comes with stressful situations. Days, maybe even a whole week, could be crunched into steps due to deadlines. I manage stress and anxiety by focusing on facts and staying centered on the task at hand in that moment. I finish it safely and efficiently and do not become overwhelmed by the entire task as a whole. One task at a time, patience and efficiency are key.

I work very well in high-stress jobs. I know my stress levels and if it is too much I will take a minute by myself, regroup and continue the job.

Good job! You've answered well by sharing that you face stressful situations head-on. You can strengthen your response by providing a specific example of how you've handled stress well in the past, or telling about a time when increased pressure actually helped you work more productively. This illustrates your ability to transform stress into action, successfully turning a negative into a positive, to accomplish your goal.
