In your line of work, you may interact with individuals living in the areas that are affected by potential fire damage. Often, people are forced from their homes when a wildfire spreads out of control. It can be extremely emotional and devastating to watch your land go up in flames. Explain to the interviewer how you would help an angry or upset citizen in one of these challenging situations. You might need to focus on getting them to safety first and then provide emotional support once they are protected.

"I would handle an irate citizen by remaining calm and listening to what they had to say. If they were irate in the middle of an emergency, I would first insist that we get to a safe place and I would talk with them after. If I were unable to appease them, I would refer them to my supervisor."
