I received my EMT certification two years ago, and just completed my associate's degree in fire science. I thought I wanted to follow the route my father and grandfather took, but I am more interested in fighting wildland fires. I work out every day to keep myself fit for the job and do a combination of Crossfit and mountain biking. Currently, I am working construction as a framer until I get hired as a wildland firefighter."
