About Our Interview Questions

Our interview questions are created by writers, almost all of which, have a long history of recruiting and interviewing candidates. They do not necessarily have experience interviewing or working with companies, careers, or schools, in which they may write for on We do, however, strive to match their background and expertise with the appropriate question sets found on our website.

Used Car Salespeople are responsible for selling vehicles to the general public, usually through a car dealership. Some Car Salespeople will sell vehicles independently, as a broker.

Sales ability is the number one skill required by a Used Car Salesperson. An automotive dealership will have specific targets for each salesperson to achieve. This is a competitive work environment so a Used Car Salesperson must have the internal drive to be a top performer.

Organizational skills and the discipline of consistent customer follow up are required of a Used Car Salesperson. In order to meet stringent sales targets, a Car Salesperson must be diligent with follow up calls and prospecting. Knowing how to close a sale and overcome objections are important abilities. Online leads and referrals are vital to the success of a Used Car Salesperson. Being personable and reliable will always help a Used Car Salesperson to succeed.

A Used Car Salesperson will assist customers with test-drives so a valid drivers' license and clean drivers' abstract is a requirement of this job. A High School Diploma or GED is the only educational requirement to be a Used Car Salesperson. Post-secondary experience is not generally required; however, some additional sales training will be very helpful. Price negotiations are common in Car Sales. Professional sales training is highly recommended.
