As you advance in your career, you will be given more responsibilities and asked to work on multiple projects at a time. This can be a challenge initially, especially for the mid-level engineer just knocking on the door of a project manager role. It's important to make sure that each project you are working on is remaining on schedule and not lagging behind. Explain to the interviewer how you have developed your own personal process for managing your workload and weekly schedule.
"When I have multiple projects going at the same time, I set weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedules with goals for myself. I set my schedule based on the overall project schedules and deadlines. I'll check in with senior project managers to make sure they agree with my priorities and adjust as needed. It's important to be flexible when juggling a heavy workload."

When I have multiple projects to complete, I prioritize them based on the date of completion and the number of hours that need to be invested in each. I will also make sure the time I take to finish a task doesn't interrupt other tasks that are dependent on my completion.
Marcie's Feedback
It's great that you prioritize projects based on deadlines and the number of hours they will take; however, don't forget to also factor in the importance of each project. One may be due sooner that is less important than another and this may impact how you prioritize them.
