As a researcher, I don't use BIM in my projects. But I know that it is very promising and hence I had to learn it. So I taught myself to work in Revit with the help of tutorials on Youtube. I found it very interesting and I'm very comfortable with Technology now.

Excellent answer! This shows that you don't mind going above and beyond to learn new technologies, which is great. The question does ask how you plan to stay current when it comes to technology, so you might want to also indicate that you'll read industry blogs and newsletters so that you're aware of new technologies when they come out.
