Potential employers are curious to know how your previous employer would describe your work and performance while employed with them. Early on in the interview process, they won't be able to reach out for feedback from your provided references. So, it's up to you to offer your own honest feedback. Be candid and honest when answering this question. The interviewer will be able to tell if you are not being genuine in your answer.

My employer would describe me as hardworking and dependable. Actually, in a recent review given by a colleague, she described me as someone who is hardworking, cheerful, and helpful. I always try to be helpful if someone approaches me with a problem that they cannot find a solution for. I am also usually the person arranging a dinner party after a stressful exam week!
