The interviewer is concerned with finding a long-term fit for this role. Your objective here is to remove any doubts that your career trajectory will lead you away from the education field. "I've always wanted to be in education. I was a teacher for five years, so I really know the field quite well. I'm looking for ways to grow professionally. I'd like to be an instructional coordinator for 3-5 years, so I can develop good relationships with school staff and prove myself. From there, I plan on seeing what opportunities exist at a higher level in school leadership. Eventually, I may even consider opening a charter school."
