Question 27 of 30

Please provide me with more details about a local area network or LAN.

"LANs are most typically used within a single organization to connect individual users or nodes so they can share information and resources. When a LAN spans the entire organization, it is known as an enterprise network. Some organizations create individual LANs for each department or functional area. This helps them better manage the information flow and restrict access to certain information or resources outside the specific department. LANs consist of individual computers, known as nodes, wired or wireless connections, and devices such as switches and routers used to manage the network traffic."
