"I want to get into a company that I can stay with and grow long-term. While change is good, I like the comforts of having something familiar or regular around me. I aspire to grow into a leadership position and teach newcomers the ins and outs of commercial inspections."

Companies invest a lot of time and money into their employees, and they need to consider their investment when interviewing applicants. Even if you want to start a business of your own, you want to avoid mentioning that to the interviewer. If they feel you would use their company to gain experience and leave shortly after, they may pass you over for another candidate.

I would like to see myself as a top-notch building inspector, moving up in the organization. Nobody knows what the future will bring, but I would like to think I found my forever job. I have always had a passion for the building trades and would like to remain in them.

Rachelle's Feedback
It seems you have a lot of vision in the direction you'd like your career to go! I recommend being clearer about what 'moving up in the organization' means to you. For instance, inside this specific hiring company, what does career progression look like? I also recommend avoiding cliche or overused statements such as 'Nobody knows what the future will bring.' Rather, try to offer a value statement that will further solidify your candidacy.
