Why do you feel that Aerospace Engineers are important to society as a whole?

"One of the reasons I was motivate to study Aerospace Engineering was a fascination with some of the great innovations in air travel over recent years. If you look at the advancements in modern meteorology and weather predicting patters, a huge part of that advancement has been the advanced satellites that are in orbit and continuously monitoring weather patterns. Another huge way that our field benefits society is in the safety of air travel. Commercial air travel will continue to grow year after year and the work our field has done to help make air travel as safe as possible is simply astonoshing."
