Why do you feel that Aerospace Engineers are important to society as a whole?

With this question, your interviewer is really looking to dig into your own personal motivation for being successful in your work as an Aerospace Engineer. They will be expecting you to be passionate about your work and by having you explain how the work in the field benefits the greater good, they'll be able to get a sense of your passion. Keep in mind that the last thing your interviewer wants to do is hire someone that is strictly working for a nice sized paycheck on a weekly basis. As you answer this question, point out some of the important breakthroughs in Aerospace Engineering and explain why they have had a major impact on society and make sure that your interviewer understands that you are looking to be a part of something bigger in your work.
