This question aims to determine how equipped you are to function in this role and how aligned you are with their core values, mission statements, and value propositions. You want to convey, in principle, that you are already one of them. Take note and integrate their language into your answers. You'll be able to find language when researching their website that, in one way or another, effectively answers many of the questions posed throughout your interview set.
"Our purpose is clear. We create clarity and confidence today for a more sustainable tomorrow. And our values are more than words. They frame our approaches and ways of working, and living them day-to-day drives our success. Working at Willis Towers Watson is a chance to push into the unknown...the never before...the new. We use our know-how, experience and global reach to tackle challenges and fuel potential. This makes for a highly engaging and innovative culture - and one where our colleagues are empowered to achieve the best possible results, for each other and for our clients."
The assessment vendor is asking you to give them a reason they should hire you while studying your recorded video for data points, which could help them determine if you're the top performer most suited to WTW's company goals and culture. They'll evaluate your verbal and non-verbal cues and will pass their findings on to the WTW recruiter. Once the hiring authority receives the materials, they can view the interviews side by side for further comparison and evaluation. So answer with sincerity. If you can align your interests with the elements of what this opportunity offers, all the better.
Remember HireVue is a hiring platform service that screens, evaluates, classifies, and categorizes candidates to help their clients avoid making "poor hiring decisions" and to find "top performers" and "qualified talent." So, just because you can take your interview at any time and anywhere, doesn't mean you should. Rather, use this feature as an opportunity to take all the time you need to prepare. Present yourself on camera as a professional in every way, just as you would in an in-person interview.
Every decision you make will be evaluated. So take every measure to prepare, and beware of the conflicting advice HireVue offers, such as "Just relax. If your dog barks or kid runs across the screen-relax. It's okay. Your employer will understand, and if they don't, perhaps it's not the right culture fit for you. And that's okay. Just be natural! Get comfortable and be confident in yourself." This is not very good advice. Your aim in the interview is to determine and appropriately showcase how you are a good fit for their culture. So don't relax too much and undermine your own efforts.
"I have very strong communication skills, and my core values are aligned with WTW's. I am ambitious with my goals and view my individual success as how effectively I can drive and contribute to the success of the teams I am working with, and I do my best work outside of my comfort zone. I am looking to drive my career forward with a company that would be a long-term fit."
