I would always prefer to work face-to-face with my clients. That way I can see their reactions firsthand.

Great! But why do you enjoy seeing their reactions? So you can interact further and provide them with solutions? So you can build meaningful relationships? Talk more about why you prefer face-to-face versus a background role. Be honest so the interviewer learns your preferences, but also try to align them with what the role entails so you sound like a good fit to the interviewer. Nice job!
