Perhaps you have been laid off through a process such as this. Talk to the interviewer about your experience. Maintain a positive attitude and avoid speaking negatively about any previous employers.
"I went through a merger in 2010 with Company ABC. The transition during their mass-layoff was not handled as professionally as many would have liked; however, I believe that the leadership team did the best they could.
