Lastly, it's a great idea to ask the interviewer what resources they refer to for industry trends. That question can start up a great conversation, and you may learn a thing or two as well.

I like to read quite a bit, especially about advances in ultrasound. I am a member of the SDMS and I use their learning resources to earn CMEs. I also receive updates from the Aunt Minnie and Smartbrief newsletters. These are just a few of the things that help me to keep my knowledge current. For example, I've recently been reading about lung ultrasound in diagnosing covid, an exam that many of the students may be required to perform in light of the current pandemic.
