Your answer will reveal what motivated you to pursue this position. The interviewers want to know if this is a positive career move or if you were motivated by their pay and benefits. Although there is nothing wrong with being financially motivated to pursue an opportunity, you shouldn't advertise this as your primary motivator. Instead, offer what motivates you professionally, be it meeting your career goals, earning advancement opportunities from within, going above and beyond your standard of success, or being valued, trusted, and admired in the workplace. Explain how you approach your work, regardless of whether the task is high-pressure or monotonous, and how you stay productive without burning out. We all like to be recognized for our accomplishments in the workplace. However, you want to advertise how well you'll complement their team and how well you work with others, and that you won't burn out in this position.
