Question 2 of 30

How do you build professional relationships?

"Working side by side with my peers. Asking questions and showing respect for what they've built and earned, whether through systems they've developed, methods they deploy to be more efficient, or having the interpersonal knowledge on how to work better with other members of the team. There is a lot to be learned, and I want to know. So I start by ingratiating them, working hard next to them, taking their advice or criticism to heart, and being as transparent as possible. When an interviewer decides I am right for the job, I still haven't proven myself to my future teammates, so a more informal interview process begins, them interviewing me and me them. That's the getting-to-know-you period. So I take all these points into consideration when building new work relationships and establishing trust."
