Describe a time where you demonstrated your leadership skills.

"I've taken the lead on several class projects. One time, in particular, was for a project that required my team to create a presentation for the class. I decided to take the lead because I enjoy seeing different parts come together as a whole. I made sure everyone finished their assigned areas of the presentation on time, and I also put the final presentation together. The project was well received."

Before the interview, think about previous experiences where you did more than what was expected of you to contribute to the overall success of a project. Contemplate what leadership looks like to you, framed by leaders you admire. Consider what "rising to the occasion" looks like. Doing so will present you as striving to be the best version of yourself that you can be, while demonstrating sincere potential. If you can tie this example back to the leadership qualities you'll bring to the internship, all the better.
