The interviewer wants to know who has had a positive impact on your life or someone you hold in high regard. A candidate's role model, or figure of inspiration, could potentially offer a glimpse into their personality, philosophy, and approach to life and work. They'll examine the examples offered and consider how well a candidate will work with their leaders and their team. This may also help them pair them with the type of leader who best matches an applicant's inspiration, based on their ideals, helping that leader better serve as a role model for them through the internship experience.

She has really opened my eyes to the vast opportunities in the field and has shared her own personal journey in the industry. This has motivated me to think about my future and be more intentional about my other college courses."

Talk to the interviewer about who has inspired your life and why. While your response can pertain to your personal or professional life, it is a good idea to keep it professional and mention someone who has had a positive influence on your career path or education. Provide relatable examples of leaders who influenced your character. Whether you had a strong mentor in your upbringing or a professor in college who inspired you, describe the qualities you admired most about them, and how you embraced those qualities within yourself. Talk to the interviewer about how they shaped your work ethic and approach to life. Be relatable and try to inspire conversation. How well you get along with your interviewer will also offer insights on how well you will get along with the mentor they place you with.
